Heritage Trail
Along Route 531—better known as “The Strip”—interpretive signs line the business district of Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio’s oldest summer resort town, long a favorite getaway for visitors from Northeast Ohio and Northwest Pennsylvania and often called “the working man’s Cape Cod.” Installed beginning in spring 2015, these eye-catching displays use vintage photos and engaging stories to trace the village’s history from 1869 to the present, with QR codes on each sign offering access to additional images and deeper stories tied to each location.
